| The Water Puppet show in Hanoi is
filled with exceptional artistry, drama, and music. The show has
several storylines ranging from the origin of mythological beasts
to the everyday life of the Vietnamese. The puppets are
handcrafted from wood and the performance is done entirely in a
"stage" of water. Above is a rendition of the stage, the creation
of the Phoenix storyline, the puppeteers, and the puppets based on
the photographs taken during my tour of Viet Nam. |
